SALVATORE FERRAGAMO CONTEST

SALVATORE FERRAGAMO CONTEST

Fashion Design Competition

As part of a collaborative project with Salvatore Ferragamo, I was selected as one of the six winners in a design challenge focused on creatively repurposing 500 unsold ties from the brand’s pandemic-era inventory. The goal was to emphasize sustainability, resourcefulness, and craftsmanship through innovative fashion solutions.

My winning design—an elegant dress inspired by the Art Deco architecture of Miami—was crafted by deconstructing and reconstructing Ferragamo ties, blending classic Italian luxury with a bold contemporary aesthetic from Miami. The piece was prominently displayed at the Salvatore Ferragamo boutique in Bal Harbour, offering industry exposure and celebrating the creativity of emerging designers.

This experience allowed me to explore experimental techniques in draping, pattern making, and textile manipulation, while also reinforcing my passion for sustainable and narrative-driven design.
